Ye Li is deeply moved, mistakenly believing that the Demon Lord Rong Yuan blocked a sword strike to save her. However, Rong Yuan's subordinate Wu Feng and the demon doctor reveal that he only intended to preserve the intact "Linglong Heart" within her for medicinal use. At this moment, Yun Zhu, a disciple from the Immortal Sect, seeks revenge for his destroyed treasured sword but is repelled by Rong Yuan. Ye Li steps forward again to protect Rong Yuan. Immediately after, Ye Li's senior sister Chu Zhaozhao arrives with her followers, falsely accusing Ye Li of colluding with demon cultivators. Ye Li vehemently refutes the accusations and defends her "heroic" husband in her eyes. After Rong Yuan easily repels Chu Zhaozhao, Ye Li faints from exhaustion. The demon doctor confirms the Linglong Heart is unharmed and proposes to extract it immediately, leaving a cliffhanger for the ending.
