Jiang Ci runs into her ex-boyfriend Zhou Yu and his current girlfriend at the company, who try to provoke her. To save face, Jiang Ci claims she already has someone. Back at her desk, she texts Jin Xian, the "God of Wealth Fox Spirit" at home, asking him to pretend to be her boyfriend for a day. Later, Jiang Ci confides in her best friend Yan Yan, explaining that while Jin Xian is incredibly attractive, his "God of Wealth" nature means she can't get too close for fear of losing money. Yan Yan laughs and shares her "seductive" tips, advising Jiang Ci to take the initiative and tease Jin Xian to regain control. Inspired, Jiang Ci even fantasizes about seducing Jin Xian.
