Plot of Episode 8

Jiang Ci discovers Jin Xian exercising late at night. Due to the stereotype that fox spirits have "heavy desires," she misunderstands and probes him. Jin Xian uses the opportunity to playfully tease Jiang Ci back, even discovering the steamy romance novel she wrote on her laptop. The atmosphere becomes ambiguous as they tussle for the computer. Embarrassed by Jin Xian discovering her "artistic" side, Jiang Ci abandons her plan to ask Jin Xian to pretend to be her boyfriend for a company event, deciding to face her ex-boyfriend Zhou Yu's mockery alone.
