The Fu family's financial situation took a turn for the better after they unexpectedly discovered a large quantity of precious ginseng, thanks to their youngest daughter Fu Jiujiu's "lucky star" constitution. Amidst their joy, the family grew sentimental, recalling their fourth child who was sent away due to poverty, and their seventh child who went missing. They decided to go and search for their fourth child. Meanwhile, the mysterious young man they had rescued awoke and introduced himself as Tang Qi. Fu Jiujiu inferred from the valuable jade pendant he carried that he was of extraordinary background. Playfully, in a childish way, she demanded he "offer himself" as repayment. His name and background foreshadow future plot developments, hinting that he might be the Fu family's long-lost seventh son.
