This episode reveals the truth behind the downfall of star quarterback Colin Hart through cross-temporal editing. To destroy Colin, the villainous real estate tycoon Victor Randall not only used a blue serum to trigger a violent, red-eyed breakdown on the field, leading to his permanent suspension, but also schemed to sever his relationship with his beloved Lilwyn. While a heartbroken Colin wallows in remorse at the library, Victor strikes a deal with the abyss demon Astaroth, gaining the dark power needed to crush him. Victor arrogantly declares that within three days, the former hero will be begging at his feet like a stray dog.
