This episode tells the story of Pei Yi's two children, Pei Wuyou and Wuli, who staged a "hunger strike" to force their father to marry their mother, Lin Jiajia. Pei Yi is wary of strangers due to past trauma, but under his daughter's tears and his son's verbal pressure, he finally compromises. However, he sets a condition: they must "pretend to be poor" to test Lin Jiajia's sincerity. The children readily agree and privately discuss their grand plan to get their parents together. Finally, Pei Yi calls Lin Jiajia, introduces himself with the fake name "Pei Daqiang," officially launching his plan to test her by pretending to be poor.
