Plot of Episode 8

This episode details the conflict between the male protagonist, Richard, and his friend and assistant, Hawes, due to the intervention of Richard's mother, Emma. Hawes, tasked by Emma, tries to persuade Richard, who is adamant about divorcing his wife Nicole, to attend a charity event to meet her. Richard sternly refuses. Subsequently, Hawes fakes a flat tire, tricks Richard into getting out of the car, and drives away, abandoning him alone on the street late at night. Under Richard's furious questioning, Hawes reveals over the phone that his wife Nicole is across the road, thus forcing an encounter between them and setting up suspense for future events.
