The episode opens with Daoist Master Chuxin teaching his disciples, Su Yue and Lu Xiao, the art of medicine. Unlike the eager and studious Su Yue, her junior brother Lu Xiao shows little interest. Subsequently, Su Yue successfully treats a child and, along with her master, refuses the family's reward, demonstrating a compassionate heart for a healer. Afterward, Chuxin sternly warns Su Yue that the path of medicine is perilous and not to be taken lightly. In the end, Su Yue's inner monologue reveals that she is an orphan adopted by her master. She plans to descend the mountain and search for her birth parents after fulfilling her promise to the Lu family, setting the stage for future plot developments.
