Li Mingwei (under the alias Li Chunhua) confronts the Regent Xie Jingyuan on the street, accusing him of orchestrating a massacre at the Duke's mansion ten years prior, resulting in countless deaths. Xie Jingyuan, due to her precise recall of the past events, becomes suspicious of her identity and tentatively addresses her as "Weiwei." Startled, Li Mingwei, to conceal her true identity, falsely claims to be Li Chunhua, a cook who has worked at the Duke's mansion since she was eight. As the two stand at an impasse, Li Mingwei's third brother, Li Mingxuan, arrives and takes her away under the pretense of protecting his sister's reputation. Watching Li Mingwei's retreating figure, Xie Jingyuan grows even more convinced that she is the person he has been searching for all these years.
