This episode tells the story of Joanna being humiliated in a conflict with her ex-best friend Chen Rou and her boyfriend Kong Xuan. After Gu Jiang comforts his wife, he returns alone to "reason" with the couple. Gu Jiang, in a domineering manner, gives Kong Xuan a ten-second ultimatum to kneel and beg for mercy, which is met with their frantic mockery. However, at the very end of the countdown, Kong Xuan receives a call from his father, learning that his family business has gone bankrupt in seconds for offending a powerful figure. Realizing Gu Jiang possesses terrifying power that can control everything, Kong Xuan is petrified, kneels and begs for mercy publicly, and warns Chen Rou not to be disrespectful again, leading to an extreme plot reversal.
