Episode 1 - Mommy? You’re Back!

Episode 2 - Mommy? You’re Back!

This episode recounts the first encounter between female lead Shen Ning and male lead Lu Yunshen. Lu Yunshen's twins, Lu Qianqian and Lu Jingchen, mistake Shen Ning for their mother in public and approach her affectionately. When Lu Yunshen comes to take the children away, Shen Ning mistakenly believes he is a kidnapper and injures him. Both parties are then brought to the police station for mediation. During the mediation, the children insist on calling Shen Ning "Mommy" and Lu Yunshen "Daddy," leading the police to misunderstand their relationship. Although both deny being a couple, the police point out the striking resemblance between the children and the two of them. This episode tells the story of how the female lead, Shen Ning, injures the male lead, Lu Yunshen, by accident. The two are in a mediation room to negotiate compensation. Shen Ning tries to resolve the issue with money, but Lu Yunshen feels insulted, believing his "handsome face" is undervalued. At this point, Lu Yunshen's twins, Lu Jingchen and Lu Qianqian, step in and vigorously "promote" their father to Shen Ning, detailing his wealth, status, and appearance, and trying to persuade Shen Ning to become their mother. After being mocked by Shen Ning, Lu Yunshen becomes enraged and states his sole condition for reconciliation is for Shen Ning to marry him and become the children's stepmother. When Shen Ning refuses, their daughter Lu Qianqian begins to sing the sad children's song "Little White Cabbage" to gain sympathy and try to move Shen Ning.

Out of sympathy for the dragon and phoenix twins, Lu Jingchen and Lu Qianqian, who lost their mother at a young age, the female lead Shen Ning impulsively agrees to marry their father, Lu Yunshen. The two awkwardly complete their registration at the Civil Affairs Bureau and obtain their marriage certificate. However, Lu Yunshen coldly reveals to Shen Ning afterward that this is a one-year contractual marriage, intended for her to play the mother's role on the children's birthday, with a divorce to follow after one year. At this moment, Shen Ning's stepsister, Shen Baozhu, and her boyfriend, Lin Hao, appear and mock Shen Ning relentlessly, convinced she is a poor country bumpkin who cannot afford any jewelry. Just then, Qianqian and Xiaochen run up and affectionately call Shen Ning "Mommy," greatly shocking Shen Baozhu, who believed Shen Ning's children had long since died, leaving a huge cliffhanger.

Shen Ning slaps them both when they speak rudely and push her children. Shen Baozhu retaliates by using the rumor that "the 'Crown Prince' of the Beijing elite, Lu Yunshen, had two more children five years ago" to publicly smear Shen Ning as a human trafficker. After being mocked as a gold-digger who became a stepmother, the children innocently defend their mother. Finally, Shen Ning reveals that she is married to the children's father, leaving Shen Baozhu stunned and creating suspense.

The episode opens with a fierce confrontation. While putting the necklace on Shen Ning, Lu Yunshen smells a familiar scent on her and is shocked to discover a birthmark on the back of her neck identical to his child's, hinting at Shen Ning's true relationship with the children.
