This episode depicts Liu Mingyue being framed by Hong Ling in the ancestral hall. Hong Ling deliberately destroys the only portrait of General Qin Mu's father, the late General Qin, and spills blood on it. She then publicly accuses Liu Mingyue of taking out her anger on the portrait due to her dissatisfaction with Qin Mu. Facing Hong Ling's slander, Liu Mingyue calmly fights back, pointing out the suspicious timing of Hong Ling's appearance and exposing her low-level tactic of "framing and scapegoating." However, Hong Ling exploits Qin Mu's existing prejudice against Liu Mingyue stemming from a past incident in the wedding hall. By feigning tears and complaints, she successfully incites Qin Mu's fury. Ultimately, Qin Mu, refusing to listen to any explanation, orders Liu Mingyue to be locked in the woodshed.
