Liu Mingyue arrives at the General's mansion on her wedding day, only to be met with jeers and mockery from the onlookers. They gossip that the Liu family has abandoned all dignity in their pursuit of power and wealth, even ridiculing the bride for her shamelessness. To make matters worse, the groom, Qin Mu, is nowhere to be seen for the wedding procession, creating a bizarre and humiliating atmosphere. Then, a wedding officiant appears carrying a rooster with a red ribbon tied to it, announcing "The groom has arrived" and demanding Liu Mingyue complete the wedding ceremony with the rooster. This act pushes Liu Mingyue's humiliation to its peak, foreshadowing her difficult position in the General's mansion.
