At a lavish evening banquet, Tomoya Yamamoto publicly humiliates his wife, Chihiro Yamamoto, for wearing "tacky" glasses, revealing his controlling nature and pathological concern for family reputation. Just then, Yuto Hasumi, president of the powerful Hasumi Group and heir apparent, makes a surprise appearance, electrifying the crowd. Chihiro is visibly shocked upon seeing Yuto, suggesting a prior acquaintance. After receiving a phone call, Yuto pointedly remarks that the person on the other end is "a woman he can't have," sparking Tomoya's suspicion. Tomoya then approaches Yuto with Chihiro to request investment, only to be outright rejected. Yuto leaves them with a cliffhanger, telling Tomoya to ask his wife, hinting that the reason for rejection is connected to an unknown past between Chihiro and himself.
