Plot of Episode 9

Xiao Hu frantically rushes to inform his elder brother, Zhao Qi, that Widow Wang has brought people to forcibly take his sister, Hui Lan, from their home. The scene shifts to the house, where brothel owner Ji Nan urges Widow Wang to hand over the person, or else demand triple compensation. Facing Hui Lan who threatens to kill herself, their mother kneels and pleads, but Widow Wang not only mocks her heartlessly but also reveals the truth that Zhao Qi had already given her all their family assets and is evading responsibility.
