Driven out into the pouring rain by Zhou Qiang and his mother, Lin Zhixia wanders the streets in misery before arriving at the Jing Corporation, where she accidentally runs into Shen Yanzhi, who is on his way to a meeting. Seeing her drenched and heartbroken, Shen not only refuses to turn her away, but publicly takes off his suit jacket and drapes it over her shoulders. Upon learning that she is looking for a place to stay and considering a flash marriage, Shen dominantly declares, "I will support you," and carries her home in his arms, completely ditching a multi-hundred-million-dollar project meeting. Back at the Shen family mansion, Zhixia is stunned by the sheer luxury, while Shen's subsequent seductive gestures quickly heat up the ambiguous tension between them.
