To make Mu Chengye, who had feelings for her, back off, Shen Wanyi publicly revealed her past in the restaurant, falsely claiming that she had injured Gu Xingyu out of jealousy, served five years in prison, and was a recently released convict. This act shocked both Mu Chengye and Mu Silan, who were present. Mu Chengye didn't believe there wasn't a hidden motive and was determined to uncover the truth. An emotionally broken Shen Wanyi attempted to take her own life on a rainy street but was saved by Mu Silan. Facing Mu Silan's "torment," Shen Wanyi desperately questioned if he would only be satisfied after driving her to her death. She then rushed into the road again, and the plot abruptly stopped at this critical moment.
