The female protagonist, Shen Wanyi, fresh out of prison, confronts her arch-rival Shen Mengyan. Shen Mengyan not only provokes her verbally but also reveals she harmed Shen Wanyi's critically ill father as leverage. During the intense confrontation, Shen Wanyi is enraged but is hesitant to act due to her father's safety. To completely crush Shen Wanyi, Shen Mengyan drops a bombshell: she admits she was the true culprit behind the car accident years ago, but claims the actual target of the accident was Shen Wanyi, and the mastermind behind it was the seemingly innocent victim, Gu Xingyu. Her actions, she asserts, actually "saved" Shen Wanyi. The plot abruptly ends with Shen Wanyi's shocked questioning.
