In Gu Xingyu's hospital room, her mother, Aunt Chen, severely humiliates Shen Wanyi, the protagonist who came to visit. Aunt Chen then maliciously frames Shen Wanyi, pretending to be pushed down by her. When the male lead, Mu Silan (Master Jiu), arrives, he unfairly sides with Aunt Chen without questioning the facts, and hits Shen Wanyi because of her stubborn defiance. Under Aunt Chen's persistent questioning, Mu Silan finally reveals the cruel truth: his sole purpose for keeping Shen Wanyi there is for her to serve as a "mobile blood bank" for Gu Xingyu, who suffers from hemophilia. The plot reaches its climax amidst Shen Wanyi's shock and despair.
