Plot of Episode 2

The episode opens with Ye Jingyan cruelly humiliating his bound wife, Gu Anran, in front of his mistress Cheng Susu, forcing her to sign divorce papers and accusing her of drugging him a year ago to force marriage. However, Gu Anran recalls in a flashback that she just learned she is seven weeks pregnant and, for the sake of her child, firmly refuses to divorce. Enraged, Ye Jingyan chokes her, threatening to torture her until she complies, and leaves with Cheng Susu, leaving Gu Anran alone in despair, vowing that he will regret this one day.
