This episode depicts the intense conflict that erupts between Shen Jinchen and Zhou Xitong on the eve of their wedding. Shen Jinchen stumbles upon Zhou Xitong and her adopted brother, Zhou Yuxuan, in the bridal suite. Zhou Yuxuan, deliberately wearing a bathrobe, provocatively implies a physical relationship between himself and Zhou Xitong, aiming to enrage Shen Jinchen. Shen Jinchen recalls Zhou Xitong refusing intimacy during his proposal, citing that she's "not a promiscuous woman." Contrasting this with her current indulgence of Zhou Yuxuan, he feels deeply betrayed and humiliated. Although Zhou Xitong insists it's merely "deep sibling affection" and accuses Shen Jinchen of causing a scene before the wedding, Shen Jinchen exposes their scandalous entanglement on the marital bed, bringing their relationship to an icy standstill.
