Plot of Episode 8

The episode opens with second prince Ye Gucen interacting with his subordinate Tu Tu and the amnesiac girl Yan'er, whom he controls, revealing that Yan'er's sister Han Chan is an assassin. Later, during a royal tea ceremony hosted by the emperor, a tense atmosphere prevails. Through a flashback, we learn that Ye Gucen is using Yan'er's life as leverage to force Han Chan to poison Ning Wangfei Qingmei at the tea ceremony. At a critical moment, just as Han Chan is about to administer the poison, she is stopped by Ning Wang Ye Huaijin, and the story ends abruptly on a cliffhanger.
