This episode's plot revolves around a brutal murder within the inner chambers. General's wife Su Manli, driven by jealousy, personally poisoned her concubine-born son, Huo Nan, with pastries. To cover up the crime, she ordered her maid Ming Yue to throw the surviving concubine-born daughter, Huo Bei, along with Huo Nan's body, into a well. Another favored concubine, Su Qingqing, heard Huo Bei's cries for help and rushed over, only to witness the horrifying scene and realize that this "accident" was orchestrated by her own elder sister, Su Manli. Su Qingqing's scream attracted the manor's master, the General, setting the stage for the upcoming confrontation and conflict.
