Plot of Episode 9

Despite suffering from a serious illness and a nosebleed, the protagonist Evelyn confronts her ex-husband Erik and his mistress Alicia, who have come demanding her signature on a divorce agreement. Evelyn angrily rejects Erik's insincere concern and reveals her suspicion that he only wants her organs to save Alicia. The conflict escalates with Alicia's provocations and a slap. To Evelyn's further heartbreak, Erik proves to be ruthlessly cold in the property division, reminding her of how her family once adopted the orphan Erik. Evelyn, furious, decides to take him to court. However, after she leaves, Erik suddenly coughs up blood and collapses, hinting that he too is gravely ill, leaving the plot with a massive cliffhanger.
