This episode depicts a table-side power struggle over interests and desires between village bully Chen Biaozi and Ding Changsheng. Chen Biaozi acts exceptionally righteous to win over Ding Changsheng and leverage his connection with Ding's godfather, Kou Dapeng. Ding Changsheng seizes the opportunity to request Chen Biaozi to kidnap "that woman" (Yang Fengqi), which sparks Chen Biaozi's suspicion. Ding Changsheng dispels Chen Biaozi's concerns by feigning lustfulness. Chen Biaozi ultimately refuses to hand over Yang Fengqi but uses this as leverage to ask Ding Changsheng to introduce him to Kou Dapeng. Ding Changsheng pretends to agree, but secretly vows to rescue the imprisoned Yang Fengqi.
